Youth Culture

The genre of “youth culture” photography contains some of the most compelling photography available today. One could argue that adolescence is the time of the most fundamental change, physically and emotionally; it is the period when one “comes of age.” Accompanying this period of transition are experiences that will largely define the person one becomes. Photographers who aim to capture this age are fascinated by the trials youths experience and the knowledge they acquire through these experiences. Their pictures portray the essence of youth.
