Night and Low Light Photography

With the invention of photography, which is the recording of light, the question of recording with the absence of light was bound to arise and motivate experimentation. Photographers became interested in the technique of photography when little to no light was available for the camera. With less light, the camera requires a longer exposure time, a slower shutter speed, and sometimes a complete stillness. Branching off from these fundamental techniques, photographers have continued to experiment, producing images that are interesting, unique, and often quite mysterious.
